Nigerian 2023 Election

The 2023 election has come and gone but the usual process of challenging results no matter how improved the system is rears its ugly head. The truth is that the international community in a bid to be manipulative send wrong signals to the opposition giving the the feel that they got their support. Over the years in this country,it Should be on record that the 2023 general election is not just only more peaceful,it is also a picture of democratic process where the party at the center can not announce results that must be accepted.

The election showed the strength of the 3 major contenders and how a third force became a major force. A major force because From political permutations,it would have been a Herculean tasks to win if the PDP who are the main opposition party took care of their house properly. Who will say he doesn't know that south south and south East of Nigeria are the major stronghold of the PDP over the years? Not giving Peter Obi the opportunity to jostle for the party flag by some power brokers crippled the PDP. Obi used the labour party barely 5 months to contest a general election.

Who are those at the helm of affairs in the labour party as at the time Obi came looking for ticket? I know Prof Pat Utomi was there. Do you remember that Part Utomi contested the 2018 APC primary that produced Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru as the candidate of the party. Imagine that before election games were on and persons positioned strategically.

Put it anyhow, the case in court to me is the weakest case in tribunal history

Southern Governors

Some days ago,the southern Governors held a meeting and unanimously agreed that open grazing is no longer allowed in the southern States. I have always expected this due the incessant attacks by fulani tagged herdsmen. since the government at the center have refused to properly handle the increasing security situation ofnthe country,it has become imperative for states and the lower tier of the government to brace up to secure jer citizenry. twheLate General Sani Abacha once said"if terrorism last more than 24 hours, then the government has a hand in it". This pretence must come to halt. I watch insecurities rearing their head since Obasanjo was in power. 32 years after,we are still faced with old insecurities palava. The saboteurs are the high and mighty of this country. some in government and others desperately wanting to rise to power. Can the southern Governors implement this policy?

WHAT IS THE QUALITY THE NEW CHIEF OF STAFF SHOULD POSSESS AND WHO DO YOU THINK HAS IT

It is no longer news that one of the pillars of President Muhammadu Buhari government have gone to join our ancestors. One thing very notable about the person of Abba Kyari is Dedication to service/Loyalty.He is also a man equipped from the beginning so there was no room for so much learning or experimenting. Some defiant Nigerians who have never met this consummate legal luminary and special political breed allowed themselves to be fed lies from the mischief works of those whose only lives depends on spreading up mischievous publications as a way of keeping them in business. This piece is saddled with the duty to really earth out qualities that the next Chief of Staff must possess. 1. He must be loyal 2. He must be able to navigate both the civil, military and the legal teams of the Nation. 3. He must be a man of sacrifice 4. He must be fearless and resolute in his deals 5. He must be detribalized 6. He must be open to criticism as a person but must ensure it does not affect the office Mr. President WHO HAS THESE QUALITIES? Several names have been mentioned following the demise of COS while some may make this list, some surprises also abound 1. Adams Oshiomole 2. Babagana Kingibe 3. Barr Edike I. Adoh-Ogbuta(KSJI) Adams Aliyu Oshiomole was born on the 4th of April,1952 in Edo state is the current National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress(APC). He attended Ruskin College, London. He is a man who believes in the leadership abilities of President Muhammadu Buhari and will muster all energy needed to see that his government leaves an indelible imprint in the Nigerian history. He is an ally. Babagana Kingibe is a 74 years old seasoned politician and technocrat who have mastered the act of politics coming from the June 12 1993 political play where he was a front fighter and having held powerful positions where he delivered first hand.He is from Borno like Abba Kyari and some see him also as a Presidential hopeful. Barr Edike I. Adoh-Ogbuta who is the current Deputy Legal Adviser of the All Progressive Congress, was born on the 22nd of June 1959(60years).He is a political breed who is not known to shift loyalty as known by President Buhari. He so believes in the capacity of President Buhari to deliver that he does all he can to ensure that challenges within the party are calmly dealt with in alliance to well meaning leaders of the party.

CORONA VIRUS

It is a pity that those who are supposed to talk about the 5G network are mute giving rise to these socalled conspiracy religious theorist that lack knowledge.

NIGERIA I KNOW

Over time, when I speak to fellow comrades concerning how poor Nigeria was and is,they flame up.They even shout that Nigeria is the richest black nation.Looking through the years past and our self determination for independence, you will know something was already amiss. I guess Nigerians will not forget how one of their foremost presidents gave an insulting speech saying Nigeria had so much money but dont know how to spend them. When I stumbled over such statements, the first question I asked was'Are Nigerian roads the best in the world?Do we have the best of institutions built for the next generation in the world? Are we self sufficient? All i could get as feedback were echoes. Today Nigeria is faced with taking care of her citizenry due to this Corona Virus pandemic and the obvious I have always stood on came staring in our faces. Nigeria cannot afford to credit 70% of Nigerians with 10000 Naira let alone 100,000 Naira. The palliatives been distributed are complete insult and dehumanization of mankind by man. Little wonder did Nelson Mandela of blessed memory say that poverty is a man-made disease.

Uduaghan Confirms Plan To Defect To APC And Dump PDP.

ASABA- FORMER Governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Udaughan, has finally confirmed that he will dump the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, for the All Progressives Congress, APC. Speaking on phone to Vanguard, Thursday evening, the former governor said there was pressure on him to come to APC, but it was not an affair of the National Chairman of APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole. “The situation is more from the situation on ground in PDP and my political future. I am also looking at my political future and those of my followers. I have studied the political terrain and I believe the Delta should not be in opposition,” he said. Asked if Comrade Oshiomhole had discussed his movement to APC with him, Uduaghan said: Yes, I am talking with Oshiomhole, we are discussing like old colleagues, it is not a pressure, he would wish that I come over, but I also told him that I have a leader, Chief James Onanefe Ibori and they should have a discussion with him.” An APC chieftain, who spoke to Vanguard corroborated Uduaghan’s claim, saying: “Uduaghan and Oshiomhole are ex-governors and friends, so when the matter came up regarding Uduaghan joining APC, he made it clear that he has a political leader, who is Chief James Ibori.” His words: “He told Oshiomhole and those, who spoke to him to discuss with Ibori because as far as he is concerned, there is no competition between him (Oshiomhole) and Ibori over who is his political leader. Ibori is his leader and I do not think that Oshiomhole will contest that.” The stalwart added: “There are a lot of issues and undercurrents regarding Uduaghan and his movement to APC, which will not be dragged to the media just now. We have to watch.” Findings by Vanguard indicated that the former governor may in the next few days register as an APC member and pick the party’s senatorial ticket for a battle with Senator James Manager for the Delta South senatorial ticket. He is also expected to work with other APC leaders in the state, including Chief Great Ogboru, who he defeated in the gubernatorial elections to deliver the state to APC in 2019. Uduaghan’s new move after many thought that he had been pacified by Chief Ibori, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and others will certainly change political calculations in the state for 2019. His decision to join APC has also enlivened many of his followers, who were taken aback at his initial resolution to stay back after some PDP leaders rushed to appeal to him.

THE BUHARI FACTOR

President Muhammadu Buhari and some ministers have returned the sum of N118 billion to the national treasury as unused capital budget for the 2017 fiscal year This amount represents 8.1 percent of N1.4 trillion which was the total capital budget released and almost four times the size of Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) budget in 2017, which was N30.3billion. Out of the N10.9billion released to the presidency as its capital budget, only N10.7 billion was utilised leaving a total of N200million as unused which was returned to the treasury according to the document. According to a document titled, “2017 capital performance for ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) as at June 12, 2018” obtained from office of the Accountant-General of the Federation, Mr. Babatunde Fashola of the Ministry of Works, Power and Housing topped the list of Ministers with highest amount of capital budget balance returned to the government coffer. While Ministries of Works, Power and Housing has N66.9billion, Ministry of Trade and Investment returned N22.8 billion as unused capital budget. Other ministries and agencies of the Federal Government in the category of top ten unused capital budget include, Office of the National Security Adviser with N6.1billion, Ministry of Finance, N4.3billion, Ministry of Health N3.5billion, office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation N3 billion. Also, Ministry of Education has N1.8b, while Ministry of Solid Minerals and Water Resources with N1.4b and N1.1b respectively. The National Population Commission (NPC) has N33.4 million, Ministry of Environment with N24.8 million and Head of Service, N13.1 million. The Ministry of Youth Development has N1.9 million followed by Ministry of Foreign Affairs which has N2.5 million and Ministry of Labour and Employment that has N3.2million, Others are Ministry of Interior, N4.5million, Fiscal Responsibility Commission N5.7 million, Niger Delta Ministry, N5.9 million and Defence which has N6.9million. This amounted to N101.5million. However, the National Emergency Agency (NEMA) whose emergency readiness has been suspect has as much as N193million unused capital budget. Out of the total releases which stood at N266 million, only N72.5 million was utilized leaving a balance of N193.5 million at a time the agency’s air ambulance and rescue helicopters were grounded over expired insurance policy that cost between N20million and N17 million for the two aircraft respectively. The document also revealed that the National Pension Commission (PENCOM) did not utilize the entire N375 million released to it for capital project while the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) also failed to use its allocation of N298 million. DAILY POST reports that the execution of the 2017 budget was also adversely impacted by the late passage of the Budget as well as the shortfall in the expected oil and non-oil revenue receipts. This has never happened before in Nigeria. GOD BLESS NIGERIA.

Makarfi deserves to win PDP ticket for 2019

I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news to some who may consider it so. I gave it straight to you last week when I told you that Sen. Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi should be the PDP Nominee for President. And now I have even more awful, depressing news for you: Makarfi WILL WIN in August . This wretched, ignorant, dangerous Buhari and full time miscue is not going to be our next president again but President Makarfi! Go ahead and say the words, ‘cause you’ll be saying them for the next four years: "TO UNIFY NIGERIA AND CREATE A PEACEFUL SECURED ENVIRONMENT IS A NATIONAL PROJECT" -PRESIDENT MAKARFI. Never in my life have I wanted to be proven wrong more than I do right now. I can see what you’re doing right now. You’re shaking your head wildly – “No, VICTOR , this won’t happen!” Unfortunately, you are living in a bubble that comes with an adjoining echo chamber where you and your friends are convinced the Nigerian people are not going to elect an unpopular Man for President. You need to exit that bubble right now. You need to stop living in denial and face the truth which you know deep down is very, very real. Trying to soothe yourself with the facts – “67% of the electorate are youth & women, people of young adults under 40 and Makarfi will win a majority of of them!” – The Nigeria Youth Project (NYP) – “people aren’t going to vote for a failed administration of the APC against their own best interests!” – We can’t handle much more bad news from Barkin Ladi, Southern Kaduna, Zamfara, Birnin Gwari to Yola, Jalingo, Benue, Nasarawa and Nigeria Delta. So our mental state goes to default when something scary is actually, truly happening. The first priority of any administration is her people but we have seen how the people are abandoned for Love of Cows against Human Dignity. Nigerians are now saying our President seems to have lost control of his administrative truck, trying to tell us only by prayers we can be save. Well, folks, this isn’t an accident. It is happening. And if you believe there is any among the Presidential aspirant who has the capacity to beat a UNIFIER Per Excellent with facts and smarts and logic, then you obviously missed the past years he spent in Kaduna as governor who manages complicity and galvanized a people into one indivisible entity. As of today, as things stand now, PDP enjoys a formidable front built solidly by Sen Makarfi a true PDP General, the political Doctor of our generation,The People's Unifier. I believe this is going to happen, no aspirant will want to loose to nothing but surely something good like A Unifier – and in order to deal with it, I need the stakeholders to ensure that a man tested and trusted over times deserves 100% support for a RESCUE MISSION PART III... (KADUNA 1ST MISSION, PDP 2ND MISSION AND NOW NIGERIA 3RD ) We must first acknowledge it, and then maybe, just maybe, we can find a way out to harmonize all interests into 'The Unifier Rescue Mission' to avoid the mess we’re in. Don’t get me wrong. I have great hope for the country I live in. Things can only get better if PDP and others agree to send the Unifier on this very important mission. However, I need to assure you my humble friends that his mission shall address immediately the following: (1) The already Depressed Nigeria youth who are considered lazy by a government they practically brought to power. (2) He will fix the made depressed National Assembly, a constituency he shared affection . (3) Already hungry and depressed Nigerians whose hopes and aspirations are being killed daily. (4) A Country that desperately needs Unity, Peace and Security to guarantee Socioeconomic and Political Restructuring. (5) The restoration of our National Dignity and Cultural Values in the face of our International Business Relations. Sentiments aside, Makarfi deserves PDP's ticket for the Unifying Narratives and make great a responsible leader for all. THIS GANG UP AGAINST PMB WILL FAIL BECAUSE IT IS WITH WRONG MOTIVE

Obasanjo removed Senate Presidents at will, removed any opposing voice, removed Fayose for a small insult, removed Ladoja with thugs in Ibadan....Who are you calling "DICTATOR"? Muhammadu Buhari......... Obasanjo withheld Lagos State fund for 3 years, not minding how Lagosians would eat, Yaradua got there and released the fund... NASS members were abusing Buhari openly, messing up everything at will, Fayose has been abusing Buhari for 4 years now..... Not a single State in Nigeria has been denied their constitutional rights because of politics till date, all their funds, Paris fund, bail out, FAAC etc... But who is the DICTATOR? BUHARI. Jonathan ensured that NASS opposition members were locked out including Tambuwa the Speaker of the house. They had to climb gate to gain access..... Jonathan empowered OPCs in Lagos and they were destroying anything in Ikorodu to Ojota that looked like opposition party. Organization of DSS was used to invade APC secretariat, Journalist arrested and Newspapers siezed, we forgot all these.... Ekiti was militarised, Fayose was given power from Aso rock to order Military guys at will. Fayemi the incumbent at that moment was rendered powerless that he was shouting when Police commissioner was used by PDP and a guy was shot...All these videos and pictures are still here (google is your friend)... But who is the dictator? BUHARI. Jonatahn met FX+ECA at $62 billion+. He DEPLETED it to less than $30 Billion in 5 years Jonathan sold crude oil for 5 years at an average of $100 per barrel of 2.2 million daily (2010-2014). Did he add a DIME to Nigeria purse in 5 years? NO. Buhari the ILLITERATE sold oil at an average of $50 of less than 700,000 barrel at some points because of militancy, yet had moved that FX to $47 Billion in 3 years. Don't say how much did he borrow if you don't even have the figure borrowed between 2010-2015 without adding a dime to FX. Who is the ILLITERATE? BUHARIIII. Jide Omokore, Aluko and oil goddess Alinson made an oil deal of N1 trillion and chose not to remit to Nigeria under GEJ. Did anyone raise eyebrow? INTEL of Atiku refused to remit to NPA, not until last year that "ordinary" Hadiza the NPA boss challenged INTEL and insisted the funds must be remitted. A Christian Professor had been leading JAMB all through Obasanjo to Jonathan yet for 40 years of JAMB, only N52 Million was remitted to FG.A Muslim Professor who was appointed just in two years of handling JAMB remitted over N15 Billion.FIFTEEN BILLION ooO. So who is following after righteousness? For five years Okonjo Iweala was paying over 45,000 ghost workers unabated, yet just within 3 years, "ordinary" Kemi Adeosun removed such nonsense.I ask again who is more effective? Ordinary Abuja metro lane took 11 years from OBJ period that he initiated it. Stop dividing us over religion, who is fooling who? Less wake up

POLICE TO ARREST SENATE PRESIDENT,SEN BUKOLA SARAKI

President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday said he had no objections to any plan by the police to arrest Senate President Bukola Saraki over a string of murder cases in Kwara State, facta team has learnt. The president received Inspector-General Ibrahim Idris at the State House on Friday afternoon, during which he was told of at least 20 murders allegedly linked to Mr Saraki in his home state, according to multiple sources briefed of the meeting. PDP To Buhari: Not Too Young To Run is PDP Initiative :IN YOUR 16 YEARS IN POWER WHY DID YOU NOT INITIATE IT?

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) lampoons President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC) for attempting to parade themselves as the architects of the ‘Not Too Young to Run Act’, which was sponsored and pursued by the PDP members in the National Assembly and State houses of assembly. It is instructive to note that President Buhari had no input whatsoever in the bill; never showed any support or enthusiasm towards the initiative and had no option than to perform a mandatory constitutional duty of assenting to the bill, as a clear reflection of the mood of the nation, given that the bill had already found an easy passage to the crucibles of the required approval of two-third of states in the federation. This development is indeed a democratic victory for the Nigerian youths over forces, particularly, the APC, that had hitherto disdained and disregarded them as lazy and inconsequential, but had to succumb to the dictates of the law and pressure by the youths and the PDP. The party commends the sponsor of the bill, Hon. Tony Nwulu (PDP, Lagos), other legislators who supported the process and the resilience of the Nigerian youths in getting the initiative through, in line with the vision of the PDP to allow younger Nigerians to actively participate in elective positions in governance at all levels. In preparation for the passage of the bill, the PDP had since launched our ‘Generation Next Movement’, which has already put younger Nigerians at vantage positions to participate in elective positions ahead of the 2019 general elections. In line with the ‘Generation Next Movement’, the rebranded PDP among other pro-youth incentives, has since approved certain critical clauses and waivers so that the young people will actively vie for positions in the 2019 general elections. In line with our dream of providing enabling environment for youths participation in elections and governance, the PDP, after winning in 2019, will further lower the age qualification to entrench our vision that ‘whoever can vote can be voted for’, which is a global standard. The PDP therefore urged the Nigerian youths to immediately take advantage of the Generation Next platform and incentives already established by the repositioned PDP and actively participate in the collective quest to rescue our nation from the misrule of the APC.
