With all the political mind games, pretense and blackmail, the set-ups and money thrown around to turn the tide to favor either those in power or the most wealthy or influential.

The situation that ensued from the politics of Nigerian before and during the 2015 general election beginning from the lobbying, interests, doggedness and steadfastness in the face of challenges. Nigeria witnessed an election highly cantered on tribal and religious lines. A situation where the incumbent throw money around just to demean or bring their opponent down with cheap blackmails and intimidation.

Imagine a Retired General been ridiculed on the pages of newspaper and been ordered to premeditated debates whose modul operandi has been determined by the ruling class. People who have contested elections severally and screened to be eligible were been subjected to their boys antics just to bring them to disrepute. Rather than brand their paymasters, they resulted to tantrums and newspaper crucifixion and maneuver.

Such was the case in America.one could see how Obama choked so many cases brought against his party candidate just to ensure he stamped his authority as the president of America and guarantee his party by hook or by crook win the election. They swayed the people both on opinion, personality and even race. They went as far as to conscientizing the blacks that the rival who is Donald Trump is a racist so as to discredit Trump in the eye of the electorates.

One thing I learnt from the whole American scenario is that when the people are ready to get back power from the politicians, they do without war or crisis. Trump played their cards for the ruling class and they were shocked by the victory he got. Little wonder to still ridicule the so highly exalted office of the United States president, they opted to call for recounting and blackmails claiming Russia tempered with their cyberspace and when they discovered they can no longer sway the citizens,they deviced a new strategy by protesting to  present President Trump as a minority candidate who lacks the backing of Americans. The game is on! UNFORTUNATELY, THIS SO BLESSED COUNTRY HAS ABOUT 87% OF HER CITIZENRY WALLOWING IN ABJECT POVERTY. LEADERS WERE NOW KNOW BY THE KIND OF CARS, AFFLUENCE AND ILL-GOTTEN WEALTH WHICH THEY PARADE AND USE IN INTIMIDATING ANYONE WHO QUESTIONS THEIR ACTIVITIES.SOON IT GOT TO A HEIGHT IN A NATION AS OURS THAT FOR YOU TO ASCEND TO POLITICAL POWER YOU MUST BE SOMEONE WHO CAN CHURN OUT HUGE SUMS OF MONEY TO BRIBE THE SO-CALLED HIGH AND MIGHTY.

AND IT GIVES ME STRENGTH AND COURAGE AS I DEDICATE MY LIFE TO THE SERVICE OF OUR COUNTRY…………IT IS ALL THE WONDERFUL BECAUSE WE HAVE BEEN COMPELLED TO WATCH ONE COUNTRY AFTER ANOTHER OVERTAKING US ON THE ROAD WHEN WE HAD SO NEARLY REACHED OUR GOAL………………IT HAS BEEN THOROUGH AND NIGERIA NOW STANDS BUILT UPON FIRM FOUNDATIONS………..WE ,THE ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES OF THE PEOPLE OF NIGERIA,CONCENTRATED ON PROVING THAT WE WERE FULLY CAPABLE OF MANAGING OUR OWN AFFAIRS BOTH INTERNALLY AND AS A NATION.HOWEVER,WE WERE NOT TO BE ALLOWED THE SELFISH LUXURY OF FOCUSING OUR INTERESTS ON OUR OWN HOMES………THIS IS A GREAT COUNTRY WHICH HAS NOW EMERGED WITHOUT BITTERNESS AND BLOODSHED,FINDS THAT SHE MUST AT ONCE BE READY TO DEAL WITH GRAVE INTERNATIONAL ISSUES…………..WE ARE CALLED UPON IMMEDIATELY TO SHOW THAT OUR CLAIMS TO RESPONSIBLE GOVERNMENT ARE WELL-FOUNDED.....’’

THEY WOULD POINT TO THE NEED TO BE HONEST AND SINCERE IN OUR DEALINGS.WHEN YOU STEAL YOU ARE BROUGHT OUT AND MADE TO SWEAR YOU WILL NEVER DO IT AGAIN.THESE TIME,THE SO MUCH CHRISTIANIZATION AND ISLAMIZATION HAD NOT GOTTEN TO THIS POINT WE ARE

WE HAD CHIEF PRIESTS WHO CONSULTED THE GODS AND INVOKED OUR ANCESTORS WHEN NECESSARY. WE BELIEVED SO MUCH IN POWER WHILE PRESERVING OUR HUMAN DIGNITY. WE BELIEVED IN HUMAN SANCTITY AND PURITY.

WHAT DO WE SEE TODAY?

WITH OUR WONDERFUL RELIGION REDUCED TO NOTHING,THE SO-CALLED RELIGIONS OF THE WHITEMEN(ISLAMIC AND CHRISTIAN RELIGION ETC) HAS NOT FARED BETTER. THEY NO LONGER PREACH SANCTITY OF HUMAN LIFE, PURITY NOR PROLIFE. ALL YOU HEAR IS PROSPERITY AND DEATH OF HUMANS TERMED ENEMIES AS AGAINST RELIGION.
